Trauma Education

Denver Health's Level 1 Trauma Center, named the Ernest E. Moore Shock Trauma Center, is committed to providing trauma education to trauma centers, hospitals, physicians and pre-hospital agencies throughout the Rocky Mountain Region. Our physicians and nurses travel to outlying hospitals to provide educational lectures for health care providers. They also provide injury prevention education in our surrounding communities throughout metro Denver. Additionally, Denver Health sponsors the following core Trauma courses: ATLS, RTTDC, TNCC, ATCN.

Trauma Lecture Series

Adult & Pediatric Trauma Lecture Series

This program is an hour long presentation provided by a Denver Health physician who lectures for both in person and online webinar viewers. The lecturers will present guidelines and evidenced-based findings regarding the assessment, care, stabilization and managed care of critically ill or injured trauma patients. Attendees will learn how to implement best practice guidelines in their trauma care practice and ultimately improve patient outcomes.

This Trauma Lecture Series presentation takes place on the 3rd Wednesday of every month, here on the Denver Health main campus in the Sabin Classroom, in the basement of Pavilion C or available via webinar. This lecture provides one continuing educated credit hour to all participants (CME/CE).

The University of Colorado School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of  AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

To receive an invitation or an update on these lectures, please submit your information to join our mailing list at trauma@dhha.org.
