Elizabeth Dee, M.D.

Dr. Dee graduated from the University of Virginia with her B.A. and M.D. Dr. Dee’s radiology residency and body imaging fellowship were completed at the University of Colorado, where she was awarded the Outstanding Resident Teaching Award, the Outstanding Fellow Teaching Award and the RSNA Roentgen Ray Research Resident/Fellow Award.
Dr. Dee is a clinical instructor at Denver Health’s academic affiliate, the University of Colorado School of Medicine. During the course of her career, she has been awarded Denver Health’s Clinician of the Year Award, as well as being designated a “Top Doc” by 5280 Magazine, an honor bestowed on physicians in Denver.
Resident education in the area of body imaging and Denver Health’s Hepatobiliary Committee are Dr. Dee’s two areas of particular interest.
She has been board-certified by the American Board of Radiology since 2003 and belongs to the Radiological Society of North America, the American Roentgen Ray Society and the American College of Radiology.
J. Matthew Kerchberger, M.D.

Subspecialty Focus: Body Imaging
Dr. Kerchberger is a diagnostic radiologist with an expertise in the area of body imaging. Particular areas of clinical focus include hepatobiliary imaging, gastrointestinal imaging, genitourinary imaging and emergency/ trauma imaging.
Dr. Kerchberger received his undergraduate degree in economics from Georgetown University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude, was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society, and received the B.J. Phoenix Award in economics. Dr. Kerchberger earned his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Dr. Kerchberger concurrently earned a Master of Public Health degree in Health Policy and Management from Emory’s Rollins School of Public Health where he was inducted into the Delta Omega honor society. Dr. Kerchberger’s residency was completed at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) after an internship at Emory. Dr. Kerchberger also completed his fellowship in abdominal imaging and ultrasound at the UCSF. During Dr. Kerchberger’s residency, he received the Elmer Ng Outstanding Resident Award; and during his fellowship, he served as chief fellow.
Dr. Kerchberger holds the title of Assistant Professor at Denver Health’s academic affiliate, the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology.
Dr. Kerchberger has been a co-author on multiple publications and has been a presenter at the annual meeting of the Radiologic Society of North America.
Vanessa Campbell, D.O.
Assistant Professor, Department of Radiology, University of Colorado School of Medicine
Subspecialty Focus: Body Imaging
Dr. Campbell is a diagnostic and interventional radiologist in abdominal imaging. Her particular areas of clinical interest include advanced MRI of the prostate, genitourinary system, liver, biliary system and pancreas. She focuses on image-guided body procedures such as tumor ablation and biopsies. She also specializes in cancer staging and follow up imaging.
Dr. Campbell earned her medical degree from Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine with an honors certificate in global health. While at Rocky Vista she was awarded the TOUCH award for community service each year of medical school. She completed residency at Beaumont Hospital in Michigan, during which she won several annual resident research awards and was a speaker at the Radiological Society of North America. Dr. Campbell then moved to Harvard Medical School Brigham and Women’s Hospital to complete a fellowship in abdominal imaging and intervention.
Dr. Campbell holds the title of Assistant Professor at Denver Health's academic affiliate, the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Dr. Campbell particularly focuses on the education of residents/fellows in abdominal imaging and image-guided procedures.
Dr. Campbell is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology.
Dr. Campbell belongs to the Radiological Society of North America, Society of Abdominal Radiology, American Roentgen Ray Society, American Association for Women Radiologists and RAD-AID International.
Thanh Vu, M.D.
Clinical Instructor, Department of Radiology, University of Colorado School of Medicine
Subspecialty Focus: Ultrasound, Body Imaging
Dr. Vu has been a member of the Department of Radiology at Denver Health since 2006. She received her undergraduate degree in religious studies and biology from the University of Rochester in Rochester, N.Y. Dr. Vu’s medical degree was obtained from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. She completed a transitional internship at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu.
Her residency training and fellowship in body imaging both occurred at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. She is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology. Dr. Vu holds the title of clinical instructor at Denver Health’s academic affiliate, the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
Graham Wallace, M.D.
Associate Professor of Clinical Practice, Department of Radiology, University of Colorado School of Medicine
Subspecialty Focus: Cardiothoracic Imaging, Body Imaging
Dr. Wallace is a diagnostic radiologist with an expertise in cardiothoracic imaging. Areas of clinical focus include cardiac and vascular diseases, mediastinal, lung and pleural diseases, oncologic imaging and trauma.
Dr. Wallace earned his medical degree at Kansas University Medical Center. He completed a family medicine residency at the Scott Air Force Base – St. Louis University combined program and a diagnostic radiology residency at the University of North Carolina Hospitals. Dr. Wallace completed a fellowship in cardiac and pulmonary imaging at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF).
As a career physician in the United States Air Force, Dr. Wallace served in many roles, including flight and family medicine, family practice clinic medical director, radiology residency faculty, chief of radiology and chief of medical staff. In addition to stateside assignments, he has been stationed in South Korea, Italy and England, as well as being deployed to Kuwait, South Korea and Afghanistan. He also served as volunteer faculty at UCSF for five years for which he was honored as the Outstanding Clinical Faculty Member in Recognition of Teaching Excellence.
Dr. Wallace holds the title of Associate Professor of Clinical Radiology at Denver Health’s academic affiliate, the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
He is certified by the American Board of Radiology and belongs to the Society of Thoracic Radiology, the American College of Radiology and the Radiologic Society of North America.
Matthew Alfano, M.D.
Assistant Professor, Department of Radiology, University of Colorado School of Medicine
Subspecialty Focus: Pediatric Imaging
Dr. Alfano is a diagnostic radiologist with expertise in general radiology and sub-specialty expertise in pediatric imaging. At Denver Health, Dr. Alfano regularly attends imaging rounds with the pediatric intensive care unit and neonatal intensive care unit and enjoys working with residents in case conferences.
Dr. Alfano graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Dakota with an undergraduate degree in aeronautics. He earned his medical degree from St. George’s University, where he graduated magna cum laude as well. He also served as an anatomy instructor, was on the dean’s list, and was an active member of the Iota Epsilon Alpha honor society. Dr. Alfano’s residency was completed at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center after an internship at Maimonides Medical Center. Dr. Alfano completed fellowship in pediatric radiology at Boston Children’s Hospital. During Dr. Alfano’s residency and fellowship, he participated in research, proctored in the gross anatomy lab, and made trips to work in global health in Tanzania. He was awarded multiple teaching awards throughout his residency and fellowship. Dr. Alfano was awarded the prestigious John C. Stears Faculty Teaching Award in 2023.
Dr. Alfano holds the title of Assistant Professor at Denver Health’s academic affiliate, the University of Colorado School of Medicine and particularly focuses on the education of residents/fellows in pediatric imaging.
Dr. Alfano is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology and sub-specialty board-certified in pediatric radiology.

Nishant K. Mehta, M.D.

Subspecialty Focus: Body Imaging
Dr. Mehta is a diagnostic radiologist with an expertise in MRI. His particular areas of clinical focus include breast imaging and intervention and musculoskeletal MRI.
Dr. Mehta graduated summa cum laude from the University of Southern California (USC) with a dual degree in biomedical and electrical engineering. He received a USC Presidential Scholarship and was part of the baccalaureate/MD program as an undergraduate student. Dr. Mehta attended the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Dr. Mehta completed residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Loma Linda, California after an internship at St. Mary Medical Center in Long Beach, California. Dr. Mehta completed the prestigious Bradley MRI fellowship at UCSD Medical Center. During Dr. Mehta’s MRI fellowship, he had the opportunity to work with renowned subspecialty field leaders.
Dr. Mehta holds the title of Clinical Instructor at Denver Health’s academic affiliate, the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Dr. Mehta particularly focuses on the education of residents/fellows in breast imaging/intervention and musculoskeletal imaging.
Dr. Mehta is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology. He has been a member of the American Roentgen Ray Society and American College of Radiology. Dr. Mehta has been awarded “Top Doc” by 5280 Magazine, an honor bestowed on top physicians in Denver. In his free time, he enjoys mantra meditation, reading and cooking.
Christopher Doyle, M.D.

Subspecialty Focus: Breast Imaging
Dr. Doyle is a diagnostic radiologist with an expertise in breast imaging. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, where he was admitted to the Arnold Gold Humanism Honors Society. He then completed his residency at the University of Chicago Hospitals after an internship in internal medicine at the Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, where Dr. Doyle was presented the Larry Otto Family Centered Care Award. Dr. Doyle completed fellowship in breast imaging at Columbia University Medical Center/New York Presbyterian.
Dr. Doyle holds the title of assistant professor at Denver Health’s academic affiliate, the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He focuses on the education of residents and fellows in the area of breast cancer screening, diagnostic mammography and breast intervention.
He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and belongs to the Radiological Society of North America, Society of Breast Imaging and American College of Radiology.
Nhat-Tuan Tran, M.D.

Dr. Tran is a diagnostic radiologist with an expertise in the area of breast imaging. Particular areas of clinical focus include health disparities research, as well as community outreach.
Dr. Tran graduated from the University of Colorado Denver in accounting and biology. Dr. Tran earned his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine where he received the Adler Scholarship. Dr. Tran’s residency was completed at the University of Colorado after an internship in surgery at St. Joseph's Hospital in Denver. Dr. Tran completed his fellowship in breast imaging at the University of Colorado.
