At Denver Health, we are committed to providing free language assistance to ensure clear, accurate communication for all patients and their care partners. Our mission is to offer high-quality, compassionate care while adhering to federal regulations and professional standards. We also focus on continuous training and development for our staff to maintain excellent service.
We offer qualified medical interpreters 24/7 for patients and family members who have Limited English Proficiency (LEP) or are deaf, at no cost. It's important that staff and providers use a qualified medical interpreter for every encounter with an LEP or deaf patient, unless the caregiver is a qualified bilingual staff member, or the patient chooses not to use an interpreter.
How to Request an Interpreter
If you need interpreter support, simply let your care team know. Your health care provider will arrange the service for your visit or procedure. You have the right to access interpreter services during your care.
Our network of interpreters can assist in over 200 languages, including American Sign Language (ASL). If you have limited English skills, or if you are hearing or speech impaired, just ask your provider or nurse to contact interpreter services. We are here to ensure clear communication throughout your care.
