Adult Urgent Care Center
Denver Health's Adult Urgent Care Center, known for its friendly staff and outstanding patient experience, is now located in the Outpatient Medical Center's first floor, north wing (Pavilion L). Patients at the new location will find the same top-quality care and services they have come to expect from all of Denver Health's urgent care locations with 17 spacious patient rooms and state-of-the-art equipment. The Adult Urgent Care Center's move means it will now have its own dedicated registration desk, X-Ray machine, and the ability to order same or next day Ultrasounds, CT and MRI scans from our Outpatient Medical Center Radiology department for patients. This new location serves about 70 patients a day and will be open seven days a week, from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. No appointment is needed; walk-ins are welcome. What the Outpatient Medical Center Offers
Denver Health’s Outpatient Medical Center centralizes numerous services under one 293,000 square foot roof, in an easy-to-access downtown location. It includes a day surgery center, a new location for our Adult Urgent Care Center, expanded pharmacy, lab services and radiology. See all of our service offerings below.
The state-of-the-art building greatly enhances Denver Health’s ability to provide treatment for heart disease, cancer and diabetes as well as providing orthopedics, behavioral health, dental and oral health, and offer expanded services for eye exams and physical therapy.
Consolidating these clinics frees up much needed space around the Denver Health campus, allowing the hospital to boost primary care services, increase the number of inpatient psychiatric beds and provide the capability to double the number of operating rooms.

Clinics and Departments in the Outpatient Medical Center
Pharmacy Location
On February 1, 2021, the Denver Health Outpatient Medical Center Pharmacy opened on the first floor (known as the "Union Station" floor) of the Outpatient Medical Center (Pavilion L). State-of-the-art technology and a larger space allows the pharmacy team to focus on providing personalized health care. The Pharmacy team works directly with our Denver Health Providers to dispense medications for complex medical conditions that require special handling. Staff utilizes a new "counting robot" to fill prescriptions. The Outpatient Medical Center Pharmacy is open seven days a week, from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m., providing another convenient option for patients to pick up their medications. The pharmacy is better suited to support our community and continue the Denver Health mission of providing high-quality cost-effective care. This location supplements the Wellington E. Webb Center for Primary Care Pharmacy in Pavilion G, which remains open, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Radiology Moves, Expands Services
The first patients on opening day at the Outpatient Medical Center were in Denver Health's newest Radiology Department. They were greeted with a new, expanded space and a clinic open longer hours to serve them. Radiology is on the first floor (known as the "Union Station" floor) of Pavilion L, just past the elevators. Patients will find a large waiting area with five registration desks and staff who can check them in quickly for their appointments. For the first time at Denver Health, this location offers positron emission tomography (PET) scans. The imaging test helps reveal how your tissues and organs are functioning. It may help identify a variety of conditions, including many cancers, heart disease and brain disorders. Bone densitometry (DXA), diagnostic radiology (X-rays) and ultrasound tests have moved from Pav. G to Pav. L. The location also has Computed Tomography, Mammography (on the 5th floor), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Orthopedic Clinic Imaging and X-Ray Fluoroscopy. Expansive Lab Offers Wide Variety of On-Site Testing
The laboratory opened on the first floor of the Outpatient Medical Center (known as the "Union Station" floor) on February 1, 2021, with more than double the space of lab in the main hospital to serve the needs of Denver Health's growing patient population for years to come. Patients can come to get their blood drawn in one of our nine draw rooms and providers for the more than 30 medical services in the Outpatient Medical Center have access to a wide variety of on-site tests. Expanded Gastroenterology Lab
On Tuesday, February 16, Denver Health's outpatient Gastroenterology (G.I.) Lab opened its doors to patients in its new location, on the 3rd floor of the Outpatient Medical Center (known as the Cheesman Park Neighborhood/Botanical Gardens floor). This is an expanded space, with five procedure rooms – which is one more than the department had before. This larger space allows Denver Health's expert G.I. Lab team to screen more patients for cancers of the colon and esophagus, as well as diagnose, treat and manage patients with digestive or liver disease. State-of-the art equipment in Denver Health's G.I. Lab ensures patient safety and efficiency during procedures. Patients can get a referral from their primary care doctor or speak directly to the patient navigator about making a colon cancer screening appointment by calling or texting 720-390-0062.
Medical Specialties and Rehabilitation
On the fifth floor (also known as the Historic Five Points Neighborhood floor), patients will find the new home for our medical specialties: dermatology, neurology, pulmonary, gastroenterology and hepatology, endocrinology, rheumatology and nephrology. Also on the fifth floor are Denver Health's cardiology department and our cardiopulmonary rehab gym. On the sixth floor (also known as the City Park Neighborhood and Museums floor), patients will find physical medicine and rehabilitation. All 10 of these departments have moved out of their old locations in the main hospital and the Davis pavilion and into the Outpatient Medical Center. Surgical Specialties on the Fifth Floor
Several surgical specialty clinics are located on the fifth floor of the Outpatient Medical Center (also known as the Historic Five Points Neighborhood Floor). Our general outpatient surgery, breast surgery, neurosurgery, plastic surgery, bariatric surgery and vascular surgery clinics will all care for patients in their locations on the fifth floor. The vascular lab and breast imaging are also located on the fifth floor. Denver Health's urology clinic joins the other surgical specialties on the fifth floor. Patients at these clinics will have their surgeries on the third floor of the Medical Center, in one of our state-of-the art operating rooms. Public Health Clinics Conveniently Located All on One Floor
Public Health Institute at Denver Health clinics are open to patients on the second floor (also known as the Golden Triangle/Santa Fe Art District floor). The Tuberculosis (TB) Clinic, Immunization and Travel Clinic, Infectious Diseases (ID) Clinic and the Sexual Health Clinic (formerly known as the STD Clinic) are all located in the same building, on the same floor, adding convenience for patients who need to visit more than one of the clinics.
A Gym With An Incredible View
Denver Health's outpatient physical therapy and occupational therapy patients will be treated to a breathtaking view of the city skyline when they go to their appointments in the gym on the sixth floor of the Outpatient Medical Center, also known as the City Park neighborhood and museums floor. This space is much larger than the old outpatient gym in Pavilion B and with those incredible views, will be the perfect place for patients recovering from illness or injuries to work with our experts to regain their physical and mental strength on state of the art gym equipment. Our younger patients have a rehabilitation gym of their own, which is a first for Denver Health. The children's gym is also located on the sixth floor and features its own rock climbing wall. Our speech therapy department, is also on the sixth floor, where it doubles its space for adults and children to work with our experts to improve their speech and communication. There are two dedicated rooms for children's speech therapy and two for adults. Rehabilitation services for patients admitted to the hospital remains in Pavilion A. Better Patient Experience for Orthopedics, ENT, Audiology and More
On the sixth floor (also known as the City Park Neighborhood/Museums floor) of the Outpatient Medical Center. Denver Health Orthopedics patients enjoy a new clinic layout to better serve them. An improved patient experience is top of mind in the space including private cast rooms and a private changing room for the x-ray suite. The modern clinic includes an expansion of total joint replacement service, increased availability of our Rapid Access Clinic for treatment of acute injuries requiring urgent orthopedic care and increased access to podiatry services. Patients are able to have physical/occupational therapy, along with their orthopedic exam all in one visit and all on the same floor. Multiple specialists from throughout Denver Health are always available for consultation on any patient’s care plan to ensure the best care possible. Denver Health's Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) and Audiology departments are also located on the sixth floor. Our outpatient Pulmonary Function Test (PFT), Sleep Studies and Electroencephalogram (EEG)/Electromyogram (EMG) services are open to patients in their locations on the sixth floor as well. More Space for Behavioral Health, Eye Clinic and Optical Shop
Behavioral health and eye care patients will find larger spaces on the fourth floor (also known as the Capitol Hill Neighborhood/Civic Center Park floor). Behavioral health includes adult mental health services through our compassionate team of mental health professionals dedicated to assisting adults with a wide variety of psychiatric conditions. Our team includes psychologists, psychiatrists, advanced practice nurses, clinical social workers and psychology residents. Services focus on improving self-care, emotional functioning and social functioning for the individuals we serve. We offer psychotherapy (including individual, couples and group therapy), medication management and assessment services. Our providers treat mood and anxiety disorders, psychological trauma and psychotic disorders, among others. The team is also experienced in working with individuals with co-occurring medical issues and substance abuse issues.
Neuropsychology is also open on the fourth floor. Denver Health Neuropsychology provides neuropsychological evaluation for adults with conditions affecting their thinking, such as concussion, traumatic brain injury, dementia and stroke. The team provides culturally sensitive evaluations that consider age, ethnicity, disability status and other factors when determining the meaning of test results and making recommendations. Your providers in this area have a combined 35 years experience in the evaluation and diagnosis of neurocognitive disorders. You will find providers who have close relationships and collaborate with other disciplines throughout Denver Health and take referrals from community providers. Due to our unique position within Denver Health, we are able to see patients with Medicaid, Medicare and commercial insurance.
Denver Health's eye clinic is in a larger location on the fourth floor of the Medical Center. Patients will find the optical shop Eye Care Specialties located right next to the eye clinic.
Primary Care Center
Getting regular care from your doctor is at the heart of a healthy community and it is with that in mind that Denver Health is proud to present the Primary Care Center, located on the seventh floor (also known as the Downtown Denver Neighborhood/Denver Skyline floor). Patients will find expanded services added to increase access to care and expanded hours for telehealth to better serve our patients. The Primary Care Center is open from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday - Friday and 8 a.m. - Noon, 1st and 3rd Saturdays each month. Telehealth appointments are available. The Primary Care Center serves patients of all ages. Besides regular check-ups, the Primary Care Center features specialty services from our expert providers in other areas including the Healthy Lifestyles Clinic, dermatology, endocrinology, women's care, obstetrics, podiatry, tobacco cessation, sports medicine and behavioral health. Center for Occupational Safety and Health (COSH)
Caring for our Denver Health employees is a top priority. With that in mind, Denver Health is proud to announce that the Center for Occupational Safety and Health clinic (COSH) is located on the seventh floor (also known as the Downtown Denver Neighborhood/Denver Skyline floor) of the Outpatient Medical Center. COSH will be open from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday – Friday, walk-in injuries are welcome from 7:00a-3:30p Monday – Friday.
Doubling Denver Health's Dental Division
The opening of the Dental Clinic on the 7th floor of the Outpatient Medical Center doubled the size of Denver Health's Dental division. Patients benefit from advanced dental technology and equipment to complement our top quality dental services, including: an air purification system that cleans, filters and sterilizes the indoor air to protect from dust, pollen, viruses, odors and other common airborne pollutants during dental procedures; and a new 3-D imaging system (an additional tool along with traditional X-ray imaging) to help diagnose, evaluate and treat certain dental conditions.
Oral Surgery
Denver Health's Oral Surgery Clinic is also on the 7th floor of the Outpatient Medical Center in its own office near the dental clinic. Advanced dental technology and equipment that benefits Denver Health's oral surgery patients includes a surgical operating microscope that helps magnify and light up the mouth during root canal procedures; an air purification system that cleans, filters and sterilizes the indoor air to protect from dust, pollen, viruses, odors and other common airborne pollutants during dental procedures; and a new 3-D imaging system (an additional tool along with traditional X-ray imaging) to help diagnose, evaluate and treat certain dental conditions.
Free Parking at the Outpatient Medical Center
Free patient and visitor parking for the Outpatient Medical Center is conveniently located directly behind the building, at 645 Acoma Street. There are more than 650 new parking spaces available at no charge to patients. The parking allows patients to get to and from their appointments safely, without having to cross any major streets.
OMC Café: Powered by Emily Griffith
The 4,800-square-foot OMC Café: Powered by Emily Griffith serves breakfast and lunch, offers Starbucks coffee and espresso beverages, a variety of fresh and convenient grab-and-go items, as well as paninis, soups and bottled beverages. The café is driven by a local, community-based partnership, with current students and graduates of the Emily Griffith Technical College’s culinary programs leading its ownership and operations. The café is located on the second floor – just follow the signs after getting off the elevator – and is open from 6:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. Monday - Friday (closed weekends and holidays).
