Before applying, please make sure you meet the following criteria:
- All applicants must be 16 years or older.
- All ongoing volunteer opportunities require applicants to commit to 6 months or 100 hours.
- All applicants must complete the onboarding process within 3 months of applying.
Onboarding Process
Step 1: Complete a formal volunteer application
Step 2: Complete eLearning modules, read the Volunteer Handbook and Complete Volunteer Paperwork through our online portal
Step 3: Attend a Virtual Interview
Step 4: Complete a Medical Screening
- All volunteers are required to have the following vaccines: MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B antibodies or immunization, Tdap within the last 10 years, Influenza each flu season, and a negative TB test within the last year. If you do not have your immunization records or are missing immunizations, COSH will provide titer tests and assist you in fulfilling the required immunizations.
Step 5: Complete Role Specific eLearning modules
Step 6: Complete Background Check (for applicants 18+)
Step 7: Sign-up and attend a Volunteer Tour, receive your Volunteer Badge & Uniform Shirt
