New family health center to open in SE Denver
November 24, 2024
Denver Health plans to open the nonprofit health system’s 11th family health center next year, with the new location bringing high-quality care to southeast Denver. Denver Health has signed a letter of intent to enter into a lease agreement with AmCap Tiffany LLC for a property at Tiffany Plaza near Hampden Avenue and Tamarac Drive.
Denver Health will operate a full-service, outpatient medical facility in the space and will offer primary care and specialty care services such as cardiology, orthopedics and dermatology. The facility also will offer laboratory, radiology and retail pharmacy services. Expanding access to primary care honors the commitment made as part of the 2Q ballot measured recently passed by Denver voters.
“Denver Health’s presence in the southeast neighborhoods is new for our health system,” CEO Donna Lynne said. “It’s also a chance for us to introduce a new concept where primary and specialty care are together in one place.”
Once the lease is finalized, Denver Health will begin to remodel the facility. The first patient is expected to be seen in late 2025.
“Southeast Denver is excited to have a new Denver Health location accessible in our community,” said Denver City Councilwoman Diana Romero Campbell, who represents southeast Denver and this new location. “These providers will offer extensive resources that fit the needs of our neighborhood. Denver Health providers are some of the best in their fields, and I'm grateful that these services are available to all of us.”
The family medical center will be under the leadership of Anuradha Paranjape, MD, MPH, Chair of Medicine at Denver Health.
