June 19, 2019
One of the more striking aspects of the 46th annual Rocky Mountain Trauma and Emergency Medicine Conference was the advanced training that paramedics, nurses and doctors go through, to be able to respond to everyday emergencies.
Denver Health's Level One Trauma team hosted the annual conference in Vail earlier this month. The event draws attention from around the world. It serves to share the work and knowledge of outstanding medical professionals, including those from Denver Health.
The trauma professionals from Denver Health teamed up with care providers from around the state and the country to compete in simulations of real-life emergencies. In one scenario, the "patient" is wearing a special body suit with fake blood coming out.
