Christian Thurstone Named Director of Behavioral Health

Dr. Thurstone has been at Denver Health for 13 years and has an international reputation for excellence in the field of addiction medicine. He also serves as director of Denver Health's STEP program (Substance Abuse Treatment, Education and Prevention Program) for adolescents ages 12-21. In 2012, he was recognized by President Obama with a White House Advocates in Action Award. Year after year, he is consistently named one of "Denver's Top Docs" by 5280 Magazine.
In addition to his work at Denver Health, Dr. Thurstone also serves in the Army Reserve, where he is a Lieutenant Colonel, training Army Mental Health Specialists to treat soldiers for mental health issues.
