Well I have started walking with out a cane and it is wonderful, it is going slow but I am getting my life together. I am so blessed that God put you in my life. It has been a long two and half years, if it wasn't for you kicking me in the rear in January of 2007 I don't think I would be hear now.

Dr. Ozer, Lance Maloney and staff,
"Dr. Ozer explained what was wrong with my hand. He told me what to expect when we went to surgery and how I would feel after surgery. Dr. Ozer and his staff of doctors and nurses were very professional. My rehab with Lance Maloney was outstanding. I'm very pleased to have had such good care at Denver Health.
I thank Dr. Ozer and all his staff, Lance and the occupational therapy team for the best care. Thanks to all the doctors, nurses and everyone in the rehab clinic from the bottom of my heart."

Dr Dear Dr. Smith
"You operated on and put a pin and plate in the right femur of my then 95 year old mother. She was very optimistic about her recovery and had the goal of dancing this winter at the spa where she and my brother (and wife) live in the southern California desert near the Salton Sea. She has recovered completely and enjoys as full a life as she had before the fall.
I have been slow in getting the promised pictures to you of her dancing just before Christmas. We think she looks great and does very well. She is 96 and attended my wife and my 50th wedding anniversary January 26, 2008. Not many can have their mother at their 50th anniversary.
Thanks so much for your and the hospital's great care for Mom during her difficult time last year. We are all grateful for the high caliber of service you provide. You and your team have the right to be very proud of
the work you do. Thanks!"

Dr Wade,

Dr. Stahel/Nurse Keavney
"Just wanted to let both of you know that she (ATV accident with pelvis and arm injury...married to the Air Force guy to jog your memory) made it back to Dayton, OH, in great shape. It took us about 30 hours to make the journey (1250 miles) but I think I was more worn out than she was. She saw an orthopedic surgeon at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base yesterday and he looked over all her x-rays and was very impressed with your work. Like you he expects a full and complete recovery. He will see her again next week and will take care of her through her recovery. She is moving about quite nicely and sleeping rather well all things considered. She has had some incontinence (minor, not bad) and is concerned about that but is seeing a urologist next week. I would assume it is just trauma from the accident and surgery but will hear from the urologist abouth that. The challenge for me will be to keep her recovery slow as she is very active and will want to 'push it up.' Again, I want to thank you and all your staff for world class support and medical attention. I will never forget all that you have done for her, nor will she. You work in a first class hospital and should take great pride in your work. I guess if I'm thankful for anything about this accident it is that happened where it did so she could be treated by you professionals. Please pass the word to Dr. Hogan and the rest of the hopital staff."

Dear Steve,
“It has been a number of years since we worked together, but I wanted to write and compliment you my recent experiences at Denver Health.
Six months ago, I was involved in a serious car accident, which landed me in the ER at Denver Health. My pelvis was broken in two places, and a few other issues have required me to continue going to Denver Health for follow up. From the fist day I was there, to my overnight stay, the following day and all of my subsequent visit, I have received top-notch treatment. Every person I encountered in the ER was professional and helpful and made an incredibly scary situation a lot better. The physical therapists I met with that day, and who I've seen since, were fantastic. Each time I go back, I am treated with respect and care, and have nothing but good things to say about Denver Health.
I'd like to mention everyone by name, although I'm sure I will forget a few. However, those who stand out particularly are: Dr. Steven Morgan, Dr. Fernando Kim, Lola Kurita, RN, Cheri and Jamison - both of my RER nurses, and countless others who I cannot remember.
I am hopeful that my visit to Denver Health will soon wind down as I improve. But in the meantime, thank you for providing a facility that has helped me recover and continues to make me feel respected and cared for.
I hope all is well with you. Perhaps soon our paths will cross again under more pleasant circumstances!"

Dear Dr. Morgan,
“I’ve been wanting to do this for years. You probably don’t remember me but I was brought to DH with a crushed pelvis on May 27, 2000. You screwed me back together with a plate, seven screws, and a big screw in my sacrum. On Sept 1, 2000 I played golf and shot one of my best games…I really crunched a 4 wood! Got my hips into it!
Today I am 62 years old and have no lasting effects (except for an enormous scar). I stretch every morning and exercise 5X/week. No problems.
I’m sure you know how much good you do through your excellent work but perhaps get little feedback. But I want you to know from me that I am very grateful for your good work.”

Dear Dr. Smith,
“I just wanted to thank you for the excellent care you and your staff provided, not only for me but my family as well. From the minute I arrived at Denver Health, we were treated with courtesy and professionalism. I know I was out of it for most of my stay, but from what I was told, I had the best care possible around the clock. My family and I think it’s a small miracle that I was able to make such a quick turn around and be able to be home in time for Christmas with my family. Thank you for your services, but most of all thank you for saving my life. It is something my family and I will never forget.”

Dear Dr. Smith,
“I am very grateful for all you have done for me. Your staff at the Orthopaedic department are beautiful and compassionate people. Thank you and may God bless each and every one of you.”

Wade,
“Just wanted to thank you for all your help during the past year. Thank you for being the person you are and doctor/man of vision who cares for others as you do. Your giftedness has touched many lives, and in fact, changed them for the better.”

Dear Dr. Dwyer,
"As I sit in a chair and am able to write the following lines, I cannot think of an appropriate way to thank you for giving me another chance to engage in this life.
I often think of how I got into this predicament, but I am always reminded by my friends and family to focus on the future and the upcoming recovery. I can only attempt to thank you appropriately for giving me another chance at life. I know a lot of recovery is still in the air and there might yet be complications, however, being able to sit and write these lines help me face the future challenges.
Dr. Dwyer, thanks again for providing me with the second chance at a full life".

Dr. Morgan,
“I wanted to thank you for all you did for our son. The cure and compassion he received was second to none. I further want to thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to explain the extent of my son’s injury and rehab process. May God bless you in all your affairs. You sure blessed me with your presence in our lives.”

Dear Dr. Morgan,
“I want to begin by saying how thankful I am that you were able to do the surgery for me on my broken right leg. You are obviously a great surgeon. My physician had nothing but nice things to say about you. She had great confidence in your skills. She stated to me that if the injury had happened to her that you would be the surgeon of choice to fix it. You also have a great supporting staff. Your staff and facility were a refreshing change from the attitudes and treatment, which are usual and customary in my part of the country. Back here you are lucky to see the doctor in charge.
I was truly impressed with the results that you achieved in surgery. The post-op films looked to me like you did a fabulous job in the placement of the devices and in the fixation of my fractured tibia.
P.S. I saw my physician today and he was very impressed with your surgery techniques and results.”

|
Dear Dr. Smith,
“If it had not been for you, I would probably not be writing this letter. You and your whole staff did miraculous things that would not have been thought of or imaginable 20 or 25 years ago. You are my miracle worker, and I will always think of you. Believe me Dr. Smith, I am taking full advantage of this second chance around because I know in my mind and heart I will not get another one like this ever again. You will always be in my prayers and I’ll always remember you as the “doc” that saved my legs so that I could walk again. God Bless.
P.S. keep doing your excellent work.”

Dear Dr. Gabow,
“Congratulations for the great staff of doctors you have in Denver Health. Recently I was a patient in Denver Health. I entered the hospital...in severe pain in the left lower rib section.
There had been several tests done (at home) with no results in finding the problem. Upon my arrival at Denver Health, Dr. Anthony Dwyer ordered several tests and located the problem within two days. Dr. Dwyer found I had some infected tissue which was causing the pain. Dr. Misra assisted Dr. Dwyer during the surgery. We were very pleased with Dr. Misra, with his assistance they removed the infected tissue and relieved the pressure from the nerve. He has a very cordial bedside manner with his patients and their families. We feel that he is definitely an asset to your staff. Denver Health is a well organized hospital.”

Dr. Smith,
“Many thanks to you for your EXPERT job putting my son’s leg back together! Our physician has said time and again that the surgery in Colorado was a tremendous job. We did have all the wires, screws, and LISS plate removed in December with much success. He has to continue to go to physical therapy to strengthen his quads especially, but overall his leg feels much better. We are also continuing to see progress with the head injury. We owe you so much for taking such good care of him. We are so very, very grateful and thankful.”

Dr. Dwyer, Stevetta, Chris, Lisa, Tracy, Laura, Michelle, Antonia, Eric, Carol, Tracy, Ryan and Bianca,
“We made this card so we could say the things you do go a very long way. We know it’s “your job” to do what you do, but not everyone does it as completely as you. We want to say “thank you” not only because you care, you know that God blesses and that you chose to share. When you re-read this card, just don’t think of us, but give thanks to God for letting you give us so much.”
“Thank you for helping my sister.”
“You are all a great team! Thank you so very much. You have made my opinion change for the better of Denver Health. Please consider yourselves the best team ever. Love and kisses, always and forever.”

|
Dear Dr. Morgan, Lola, and your wonderful caring staff,
“Thank you so much for taking such good care of (our loved one) these last six months. Without your expertise (you are the experts), he would never be where he is today. We cannot begin to express the gratitude we have for you all. You took what could have been a bad outcome and made the experience so much better.”
|
|
Dear Dr. Morgan,
“This is simply to say thank you for your kind care of my wife following the accident. Her fractures have healed and she is well on her way to recovery.”

Dr. Smith,
