Psychology Internship

Denver Health's Clinical Psychology Predoctoral Internship has been fully accredited since 1980 by the American Psychological Association.  The program features multidisciplinary teams treating a diverse population of both adults and children at inpatient, outpatient and emergency psychiatric units as well as in primary care medical settings.

There will be six Psychology Residents, (Denver Health's title for the predoctoral internship), for the 2010-2011 internship year.  Major rotations include Outpatient Child and Adolescent Services, Inpatient and Consult-Liaison Psychiatry, Health and Primary Care, and Outpatient Adult Mental Health.  Electives are available in Neuropsychology, Geriatric Primary Care, Adolescent Primary Care and Psychiatric Emergency Services.  Other electives may be possible. 

The following combinations of major rotations are offered:
  • Health and Primary Care Psychology with Inpatient and Consult-Liaison Psychiatry (two positions)
  • Health and Primary Care Psychology with Outpatient Adult Mental Health (one position)
  • Health and Primary Care Psychology with Outpatient Child & Adolescent Mental Health (one position)
  • Outpatient Child & Adolescent Mental Health with Inpatient and Consult-Liaison Psychiatry (one position)
  • Outpatient Adult Mental Health with Inpatient and Consult-Liaison Psychiatry (one position)
