Unique things you should know about Denver Health that may impact your visit.
-
Unlike most hospital physicians, the doctors at Denver Health are salaried employees and are faculty members at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. In addition, most Denver Health doctors are board-certified.
-
Since Denver Health has a closed medical staff, private practice physicians do not have privileges at Denver Health. However, when they refer patients to Denver Health, our doctors remain in contact with the referring physicians to ensure continuity of care.
-
Denver Health houses the Rocky Mountain Regional Trauma Center, which cares for thousands of the region’s most severely injured trauma victims each year. In the event of an emergency, the trauma team doctors may be pulled away from the clinic.
