Denver Health’s Enrollment Specialists can help you sign up for a medical assistance or discount program for which you and/or your family members qualify. When you go to Enrollment Services, you will be screened for Medicaid, Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+), the Colorado Indigent Care Program (CICP), the Community Health Services (CHS) Discount Program, or the Self-Pay Screened (SPS) Discount Program — to find the program that is right for you.
To be eligible for a discount, you must be screened by an Enrollment Specialist. This screening will find out if you qualify for any of the above programs and can receive a discount on many of the hospital, clinic and pharmacy services at Denver Health.
In order to complete the screening process for all of these programs, you must bring documentation of your current income and expenses, family members, housing status and several other items. As stated on the application that you will sign, falsifying information on family size, income, housing status (homelessness) or home location is considered fraud and must be reported to the State of Colorado.
If you live outside of Denver County, you can still get care at Denver Health if you qualify for Medicaid or CHP . But you must live in Denver County to receive non-urgent care at Denver Health under the CICP, CHS Discount and SPS Discount programs.
