The Patricia A. Gabow Endowment for Vulnerable Populations was fully funded in 2007.
The endowment was established to provide funds for faculty members at Denver Health to perform needed research that would lead to improved access, affordability and clinical outcomes for patients from vulnerable populations. The Chair is held by Patricia A. Gabow, M.D., chief executive officer, Denver Health.
Dr. Gabow was also named to Modern Healthcare magazine's 50 Most Powerful Physician Executives in Healthcare 2007.
Dr. Gabow also received the 2007 Unique Woman of Colorado Award during the Denver Post Unique Lives & Experiences lecture series; and received the Spirit of Denver Award at the League of Women Voters of Denver Education Fund Vision of the City Dinner.
Dr. Gabow was awarded the 2008 National Healthcare Leadership Award by the National Center for Healthcare Leadership.
