Our pediatric hospital unit is located in a separate and secure pavilion and is designed especially for kids. Each room has a private bathroom, flat screen television, and ample sleeping space for parents. In addition, the unit has a family café with a refrigerator, microwave and tables for eating.

Inpatient medical care

Skilled pediatricians, pediatric intensivists, neo-natalogists and hospital medicine physicians provide care to our pediatric patients and a caring nursing staff is always on-hand to provide care. 

Starlight Playroom

Denver Health knows that even the sickest kids still want playtime! Our playroom located in the secure hospital unit provides a space for children to play while healing and provides an excellent backdrop for our physical therapists to get their job done.

Child Life ZONE and Child Life Specialists

Staffed by specially trained Child Life Specialists, the Zone at Denver Health provides our kids with another option to heal through play.

Child life specialists and therapists encourage children to participate in activities and events aimed at giving children a  better experience and healing through play.
