Denver Health neurosurgeons are members of Denver Health’s Rocky Mountain Regional Trauma Center, the only academic Level I Trauma Center in the Rocky Mountain region. Patients are referred from Kansas, Nebraska, Wyoming, North and South Dakota, Montana and New Mexico.
The Neurosurgery service is a mixture of acute brain and spine trauma. They also perform other neurosurgical procedures such as: image-guided surgery for adult brain tumors, endoscopic carpal tunnel surgery, carotid enderectomy, minimally invasive spinal surgery, and spinal instrumentation and fusion. Facilities include the neurosurgical operating rooms with the most modern operating facilities including Stealth navigational systems.
As Colorado’s academic Level I Trauma Center our neurosurgeons are also teachers, professors and researchers and perform ongoing clinical research trials. Each neurosurgeon is on faculty at the University of Colorado.
