Traumatic Brain Injury and Neurosurgery
Denver Health's neurosurgeons are members of Denver Health’s Rocky Mountain Regional Level I Trauma Center, the only academic Level I trauma center in the Rocky Mountain region. Many patients are referred from rural Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, Wyoming, North and South Dakota, Montana and New Mexico.
Our neurosurgeons care for acute brain and spine trauma and perform neurosurgical procedures such as: image-guided surgery for adult brain tumors, endoscopic carpal tunnel surgery, carotid enderectomy, minimally invasive spinal surgery, and spinal instrumentation and fusion. Denver Health's facilities include neurosurgical operating rooms with the most modern operating equipment, including Stealth navigational systems.
As Colorado’s only academic Level I Trauma Center our neurosurgeons are also teachers, professors and researchers and perform ongoing clinical research trials. Each neurosurgeon is on faculty at the University of Colorado.
