Team of Epilepsy Experts

Our Comprehensive Epilepsy Program is comprised of a multidisciplinary team of specialists who are dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of epilepsy.  Our team members include the following providers:

• Fellowship-trained adult and pediatric epileptologists
• A neurosurgeon with more than 25 years of epilepsy surgical experience
• An Electroencephalography (EEG) laboratory supervisor with more than 20 years of experience
• A neuropsychologist
• A dedicated speech pathologist
• Specially trained inpatient neurology/epilepsy nurses and a nurse educator
• Neuroradiologists
• An interventional radiologist
•  A neurology nurse and social worker
• Dedicated clinical trial coordinator and clinical pharmacist

State-of-the-Art Technology

We utilize state-of-the-art digital, long-term video EEG to record scalp (extracranial) or intracranial brainwave data for the proper characterization and/or localization of an epileptic focus. As part of an epilepsy surgical work up, we offer the following services:

• Seizure protocolled high-resolution magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
• 24-hour continuous video EEG recordings tailored to capture seizure events
• Direct brain stimulation of awake neurosurgical patients to map critical brain function
• Interventional radiological testing of memory and language function
