Arthur A. Gonzalez, doctor of public health, has been appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer, Denver Health and Hospital Authority. Mr. Gonzalez will come to Denver Health from his role as Chief Executive Officer at Hennepin Healthcare System, Inc., a renowned public safety net healthcare system in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
"His background in a comprehensive system similar to Denver Health’s will be invaluable as we make a transition from the many years of excellent leadership of Dr. Gabow,” Board of Directors Chair Hubert A. Farbes, Jr. said.
Mr. Gonzalez is relocating to Denver with his wife and his appointment is effective September 4, 2012. "I am honored to accept this appointment," Gonzalez said. “Denver Health is widely respected, and it will be a privilege to work with the local, state and national health care communities in continuing to further the excellent work being done here."
