Dr. Patty Gabow Receives 2012 Health Quality Award

National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) awards annual Health Quality Awards to individuals recognized for leadership and innovation in improving health care quality through improving efficiency, effectiveness and compassion, advancing public policy around health care, improving health care systems through analysis and research, or increasing awareness through public education campaigns. NCQA names Dr. Patty Gabow a Health Quality Leader for her pioneering use of “lean” management techniques, which have assured high-quality care for some of Denver’s most vulnerable and at-risk residents. Her unique combination of compassion and ingenuity has reduced wasteful care and confirmed that high quality and low cost can go hand-in-hand.
