About Us
Safety & Quality
I Want To
Denver Health sets target goals to encourage our care providers to keep quality in mind. For our Preventive Care measures, we are on track to meet or in some cases, exceed our quality goals.
Pediatric Immunizations up-to-date by 2-years-old
Why is this important?
Penumoccocal Immunization for Adults
Pneumococcal infection is a major cause of pneumonia, bacteremia, meningitis, and otitis media. Persons 65 years of age or older are at increased risk of developing pneumococcal infection, along with the very young and patients with certain chronic conditions. National guidelines recommend routine vaccination for healthy persons 65 years of age and older. Denver Health's vaccination rates for patients seen in our primary care clinics has continued to climb since 2005.
Breast Cancer Screening
Breast Cancer is among the most diagnosed cancers in the United States today. Early detection ensures that the proper treatment can be started to help women recover from the condition. At Denver Health, more than half of our female patients are screened for breast cancer.
Cervical Cancer Screening
Cervical Cancer can be detected early through routine and regular testing at a female's annual physical exam. As with other cancers, early detection is key to treating the cancer.
Colorectal Cancer Screening
Many studies show that people who are at risk for colorectal cancer are not being screened.
Five or More Well Child Visits by 15-months-old
Tracking the development of children is paramount in detecting conditions that can be treated in young children. Regular interaction with care providers at well child visits can greatly improve the health of children.
